Solidvapor, inc. was founded in 1996 by Rich Uphus and Richard Teller. Originally the company focused on providing outsourced marketing services to the CAD software community — primarily Autodesk, Inc. and its worldwide community of third-party software developers.

During this period, Solidvapor developed numerous programs, ranging from magazine publishing and cooperative direct mail programs to event management and online database collection and management systems. These programs involved connecting software developers, resellers, and user groups with customers and prospects.

Today, in addition to Autodesk, Solidvapor has begun working with other industry leaders such as Intuit and Discreet as well as other software developers offering a variety of innovative services to help marketing managers and their companies become more successful.
